- and a myriad of other benefits that keepers around the country and overseas are reporting.
The BEE-COMPLETE story
BEE-COMPLETE is a powder, made from 100% whole dried green bananas developed to improve the colony health, and performance of hives in honey production and also pollination services. It was developed through industry engagement and extensive in-field trials carried out by Apiarists in Tasmania, and is now widely used across the mainland.
Used at times when pollen availability is reduced, or when there is an increased demand in energy for colonies during production, and to combat the challenges of chalk brood when it arises.
About BEE-COMPLETE
BEE-COMPLETE by Banana Feeds Australia is 100% natural and completely made of green bananas.
BEE-COMPLETE is manufactured into a powder, to be specifically suitable for application directly into hives or in feeder boxes for improving colony health of bees by providing an alternative food and energy source.
Like other B-COMPLETE products, it is formulated entirely from whole green bananas, which are sustainably sourced from local growers in far-north Queensland.
This includes every part of the banana, including the pulp, skin, stem and flower ends, ensuring that all of the nutritional benefits of green bananas are harnessed.
BEE-COMPLETE is essential at times when pollen availability is reduced or when there is an increased demand in energy from colonies during honey production or for their pollination services.
The primary aim is to ensure that the colony strength is maintained and improved and that they are in the best condition for withstanding winter, thus reducing losses.
BEE-COMPLETE has been developed in collaboration to provide the nutritional inputs for sustained energy and improved longevity, productivity and overall colony health.

How it helps your bees
Honeybees possess an innate immune system, also known as individual immunity. Their system includes physical barriers, as well as cellular and humoral responses, which are generalist in nature, and allow them to defend themselves against a wide variety of infectious and parasitic organisms.
Honeybees need nutrients for growth and development other than sugar including carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, antioxidants, and minerals.
- Improve their overall health. Burning of fuels at a cellular level creates a degree of oxidative stress, and the wide spectrum of antioxidant compounds in BEE-COMPLETE can assist in improving colony health.
- Phyto-active molecules to provide antioxidant protection
- Starch for pre-biotics and slow-release energy
